This little guy is making his 3rd appearance here. He just turned one and keeps getting cuter and cuter and his eyes....He brought his favorite friend along, Harry (the Saharan camal). There is something so sweet about an baby and his favorite stuffed animal. My son Cooper (who is almost 5) still sleeps with the same bear he fell in love with at 7 weeks old and I love the pictures of him with the bear. So hopefully Lisa & Charles you will love seeing Stephen with Harry. And another thing that I think all adults could watch for hours is a baby who has just learned to clap. I hope I get to continue to document Stephen as he grows and changes because it has been so much fun this far.

This family was rained out once but the wait was worth it as we got a beautiful fall day that lit up the leaves. We went to a spot that I havent been to in way too long and running around with these twins reminded me what a fun spot it is to explore with kids.

Back from the holiday with more to share. When I photographed 9 month old Rosemary I think her parents were wondering if we got any good pictures of her happy spirit as she was ready for a nap soon after I arrived. Well did she ever fool them!!!

Many people may not know but I offer a 100% money back or re-shoot guarantee if a client is not satisfied with their images. Nobody has every excercised this which means a lot to me but I recently excercised it myself before my clients even saw one image. This couple and their daughter are a favorite family of mine (I know I say that alot on here but really I think they are so great) so when I got home to work through their images from their recent sitting I was bummed out with myself because I just didn't love them...there were just too many distractions at the park for a one year old (ducks, swings, diggers...I loved that she loved the digger). So I emailed to ask if they would be up for another sitting and I was so grateful that they were as I know it is not always easy to rally the troops for photos. The second shoot was great and I took the best from both. The whole process made me realize that my expectations of my images are probably way higher than my clients'. It really means so much to me that give the best possible images for every family.
Terra & Zach, thank you for meeting with me again, I hope you love the end result to your hard work.

This next mom has been so patient in waiting to see her pictures. With newborns I always try and fit them in to capture them as teeny tiny little ones even when I am fully booked as long as they are okay with a little slower turn around time. So Teri, thank you for waiting and I hope you love your sneak peak!
Little Cate will need to grow into her running shoes soon to keep up w/ her 4 siblings. They are all so cute and kept me on my toes!

I have found that if it wasn't for this blog my personal images would never get touched. I take plenty but find that most sit on my hard drive w/out seeing the light of day. I'm sure this is the same for most of you. So advice to all you moms out there w/ loads of digital images in your virtual shoebox...get a blog and share them w/ your family before they get buried in your computer cemetery. I know my mom & dad look forward to every one of my posts in hopes that they might get another glimpse of their grandsons.
With that, I will share a few from this weekend starting with the ferry trip. The wind was blowing so hard so the only way my boys would stay out on the deck was to chase each other around the top deck. It was so much fun. For these pictures I held the camera down low running away from them...everyone should try it. It is so much fun to see what you get since you aren't looking through the viewfinder. I did get plenty of chopped off heads. But these I LOVE!

One of my most favorite and most memorable sittings from last year was with this next family. Zach was full of energy and the leaves kept all of us thoroughly entertained. Just last month his mom decided that she loved so many of the images she had to have me design an album for her. It arrived this week and I was so excited to get it to her. For all you curious readers you can see the album layout by going to the "client proofing" section on my website and enter balbum for the password.
Last week the weather was perfect for another AMAZING shoot. Zach found more leaves to play with but he had just as much fun running all over the UW campus. Julie & Kevin, you little man is really something else and he is once again going to make it hard to choose your favorites...I know it was impossible for me...
