Often I hear, "I wish I would have done family pictures when my kids were younger..."  I think every parent feels this way at some point.  This sitting is a great example showing it is never too late for family photos.
With daughters graduating from college and high school, this mom was excited to gather her family for pictures to celebrate and commemorate their achievements, while also documenting the love that binds them.  I had such a great morning with them all!

Married for 61 years and as affectionate as ever.

Left in amazement

As I was driving away from this super fun shoot, all I could think about was how incredible the four sisters were together.  They were excited to take me to a few of their favorite spots in their house (hanging bar/trapeze was a must capture) and just be together.  I really am lucky to have such great clients, old and new, that make my job so enjoyable.

I hope these girls will look at these pictures and see how beautiful they are both inside and out!!

The fall leaves were in their prime when we got lucky enough with a dry morning. Raindrops started falling just as we were finishing up, I felt so lucky for a great morning with this family. This couple have beautiful little girls that seem to be perfect reflections of their parents, easygoing and up for anything. We walked the block around their home and found great backdrops with every turn.

The dry days weather window is closing here in Seattle and all the beautiful leaves are quickly coming off the trees...a sad time for sure. I was shocked to wake up to ice on the car window this weekend. I am not ready for winter! Fortunately, there were enough dry days to fit a few more sittings in. And I am really excited to share this next family's pictures with them. Almost 7 years ago I photographed their wedding in Hawaii...it was such a great day and fun night. Being long time friends of mine (thanks to my husband who met them in college), it was so fun to document their wedding that came after 12+ years of dating. And now, 7 yrs later, getting to photograph them with their daughter was just as great. Since she was born, their little girl has been a show stopper. From the get go she was mellow and happy all the time...just like her parents. You just cannot help but smile when she smiles. I am grateful that they asked me to photograph their family and hopefully they will cherish these pictures even more than their wedding pictures!! If we could all take a few lessons from this couple the world would be a better place...happier, mellower and grateful for the gifts our lives!
