I am keeping the post short as I am buried w/ work. But I am happy to share with you another beautiful baby...

Every year I donate a handful of sittings and prints to different organizations for their auctions. This next family donated to a school auction for my services. They were really excited to have me photograph their newborn. He was born at 3 lbs and was just reaching a "normal" birth weight when I met him (if memory serves me right he was 7 or 8 wks). He is a beautiful baby.

His brother is obviously completely taken w/ him.

Caden needed a little break but I just couldn't stop myself from snapping away while he ate. I think they are really sweet.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I definitely did. And I have so much to be thankful for...great family and friends, our health, that my husband is about to enter the last 6 months of his 10 year journey to become a physician...my personal list could go on and on. But I wanted to let you all know that I am so very thankful to have such incredible clients. I never could have imagined loving portrait photography as much as I do. And the main reason for that is that every day I get to work w/ such great people. So I say thank you for making my job what it is!
And now for more family photos...
This may be my last lakeside sitting of the year. I wish we could have fall leaves all year! Look how much fun Zoe had w/ them...
When she came out from behind the leaves she was just as stunning as the leaves!
This looks like a set shot but I just asked Zoe to sit on the rock. The rest is all her...and I love it!

Husbands always score big points w/ me when at the end of a sitting they ask for a few w/ just their spouse. I think Lawrence scored points w/ Lisa too.
This was the last click of my camera. I think it is a fitting way to finish up the fall outdoor shoots.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for a few dry days in the next few months and a few families that want to bundle up and take a few pics.
This first picture is how little Anthony started the shoot. All smiles. He just melted my heart.
Amanda & Ryan are definitely smitten w/ their beautiful boy.

And I am too...such a cutie.

I met little Elise almost exactly a year ago. She was a very beautiful, non-mobile 3.5 mth old.

What a difference a year makes! She is as beautiful as ever but she has become a girl on the go...she had so much fun running away from her parents.

But had just as much fun running back.

Looking at this next picture just makes me think of how much I love it when my guys hold onto just my pinky. It is always such a tender grasp.
Dad may have her wrapped around his finger...
But don't be fooled because I am certain that Elise has her dad securely wrapped around her finger!!
And I think it is mutual for mom. I love how heartfelt this embrace looks. They are both just so content.

I love looking at this one because the dogs just look so loveable.

I am back....

So I had a great trip to the midwest. I was in Osceola, WI (a really scenic locale that I would probably never have visited but now I want to go back) for a small photography workshop lead by a "master" photographer from Australia, David Williams. I have been working non-stop since August so it was a little strange being completely away from my work. When I returned home I was a little overwhelmed w/ the amount of work I need to complete before the holidays. (Is anyone else a little crazed that Thanksgiving is this week?!). Before I could dive back in I was blindsided by a sinus cold. So it has taken me a few extra days to resurface and kick start my engines to finish out the year strong. But I got a great second wind last night and am as excited as ever to share more recent work with you. As I mentioned before I left I shot at my new favorite locale and I apologize for bombarding you w/ so many images but I just loved the entire shoot and have had a hard time narrowing down my favorites. I started with little Lucy before her cousins arrived from Baimbridge Island.
Then her cousins arrived and she couldn't have been more thrilled!

And the feeling was definitely mutual w/ Stanley.

But his brother Harris was a little more subdued, but just as adorable.

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE knit hats on little ones??!!

Kisses for moms

Then we moved onto the puddles & trains...

Those images just make me want to take my little guys down there (and while I was there I learned that I could get access to photograph a rustic brick warehouse full of old motorcycle & car parts...I think Cooper would love me forever if I took him there!).
There was definitely a ton to take in in just an hour. The kids were wide-eyed and full of smiles.

But it finally became just a little too much for Lucy... but she is still cute.

There are so many more fun pics of these 3. If you want to see more their gallery will be up in just a few days in my "Client Galleries" Wednesday. And here is a link to their slideshow (only viewable on PCs...sorry Mac peeps).

In just 12 hours I will be boarding a plane bound for Minneapolis. And I am EXCITED! I am going to a 3 day workshop ran by an incredible Australian photographer. I am looking forward to learning a ton and seeing how my work continues to evolve in 2007.
I will try to post a few pics while I am traveling but if that doesn't happen I will have many new images to post when I return as it has been a busy few days w/ family shoots.

A born model!!!

I met Scartlett when I photographed her at the hospitalat just two days of age. She is now 4 months old and a seasoned pro w/ her 3rd photo shoot...this is from the very first click of my camera.
And she kept it up for the entire shoot...she definitely has made me an adoring fan!
Who wouldn't fall in love w/ these blue eyes??!!
You will see a common thread in these images...she recently discovered her feet are a constant, entertaining and tasty companion.
I am looking forward to seeing this super model grow!
