I know there is a mom in Texas that has been anxiously but very patiently awaiting getting a peek at pictures from our last sitting. With the craziness of GEDIM my regular work is sitting a bit longer so thank you Chris for your patience. I had fun w/ these three girls running all over the open field and I think it shows how much they love being together.

It was almost a rainout this morning but one little girl braved the weather. I am going to be back at the EMP at 3:30 today rain or shine. It is a big building. Seattle Mariners Safeco Field GEDIM shoot

As I mentioned last night, next Thursday, May 27th between 2 & 4pm, I will be shooting inside Safeco Field. Each group I shoot will have the opportunity to meet Dan Wilson & his wife & take pictures in the dugout, around the field & maybe even in the manual scoreboard. The Mariners are going to give you a customized gift to make the day even more memorable. This is a first for the Mariners at Safeco & I cannot wait to capture a the memories for the biggest donors.
There are 4 spots to be filled going to the highest bidding donations, 1 spot for a nominated most deserving family & 1 spot will be a very special family I have invited on behalf of my company and Soulumination.

How do you get in on the action? I am going to be accepting email bids from today through Tuesday evening (closing at 5pm). I will update the top 4 bids w/ initials of the bidder daily so you can see where your bid stands. I am asking for a minimum bid of $150 for Soulumination. This is really a chance of a lifetime experience and you will be giving an incredible gift to Soulumination families at the same time. GEDIM location for May 20th

The weather is definitely putting a damper on this week's GEDIM shoots. I do have some images to share soon, my turnaround time is lagging as I am trying to keep my head above water. Tomorrow I am going to hold out for dry weather. If it is dry in the morning I will be at outside the EMP at the Seattle Center at 10:30 (coming from an appt so if I am a tad late please wait!!). If it is raining than I will move the time to 3:30, same location. The EMP is super fun w/ lots of colors, textures, etc to play w/. Come one, come all! I will try and update on the blog &/or twitter regarding weather plans. Only a few days left of GEDIM and I have a ways to go to reach my $$ goal for Soul. Please help me get there tomorrow!

Chance of a Lifetime

I am so excited to finally share with you what I have been working on since I started the GEDIM campaign. On May 27th you can have the exclusive opportunity never before offered to the public while making a contribution that will touch many families. The Mariners have stepped up to support Soulumination by opening their doors to allow me to photograph families inside Safeco Field. This is an exclusive opportunity that has not been granted to anyone ever before. We are so honored & thankful to receive their support. To make the experience even more exciting, Dan Wilson, the standout Mariner catcher from '94-'05 and his wife, both incredible Soul supporters, will be joining me at the field. Four time slots are available & will be given to the top donation "bids" with all proceeds going to Soulumination! Another spot will be gifted to a deserving family. GEDIM May 19th

Tomorrow I will be at Montlake CC again (really an amazing spot w/ lots of variety) at 4pm. Countdown to the end is on so join me sooner than later to partake in Giving Every Day in May! I promise you will feel so great about donating to such an amazing cause!! Rain spot will be I-5 Colonnade bike park again (another super cool spot).

I am hoping the rainshowers have moved on for the day and we are going to get another beautiful day like we had the past few. Here are the rest of my favorites from Sunday's GEDIM.

Sunday's GEDIM was a great success but this first family probably left wondering if anything good would come out of their time with me. Their youngest was very nervous to leave her mom's side. She thought I was the babysitter and her parents were going to take off. Completely understandable assumption, don't we always teach our kids to be weary of strangers?? The parents hung in there with me and I employed a little help from her big brother and I am excited to share just a few shots w/ their parents. I love the series of the peek-a-boo. I could narrow down to just one of those so here they all are...

It was a surprisingly beautiful day at Montlake CC and one family took full advantage of GEDIM and I thank them for coming out. I am going to assume people got scared off by the forecast of rain but hopefully that will not keep you away this week. I am positive we will have great shoots rain or shine all week long. There are less than 10 more GEDIM days left so come as soon as you can to ensure you get a spot.
Tomorrow I will be near the stairs by the water tower at Volunteer Park. Come track me down at 2:15. If it is raining I will be at I-5 Colonnade bike park.

GEDIM May 14th

I was surprised and a little overwhelmed by Friday's GEDIM turnout. Fortunately everyone was flexible and I managed to squeeze in 6 groups. I know the mom that arrived first is probably wondering if anything good came of her 15 minutes. Her little guy was very serious and not quite sure what to make of the woman behind the big black camera. So I am excited to share the first picture of her son so she knows that he did sneak in a few smiles. And all the other kids did great too! I hope the parents love these! GEDIM May 16th

All spots are filled for tomorrow's GEDIM. Monday's shoot will be at 4:30pm. Not sure where yet so check back tomorrow.

Today was another great turnout. Thank you Heidi, Michelle, Susan, Kelly, Julie & Lauren. I hope everyone had fun. I know I captured great shots of all your kids & I am excited to share them with you.

GEDIM May 16th will be at 11am at GAR Park in Capitol Hill. This shoot is just for working parents. I have heard from one party that they will be joining me. If you can make it please try and email me as the turnout is starting to increase and I would like to post updates if the shoot will be filled. I need to limit this shoot to 4 families/subjects so I can make sure my family will get some of my time that day too.

I know there are anxious parents waiting to see pictures from yesterday's shoot. After another great and busy shoot today I haven't found much time to sit and work. But I really want to continue to thank everyone for coming out for Giving Every Day in May so here are a few more pictures for to hopefully tie you all over.

Awesome GEDIM day at the Arboretum. Thank you Christine, Jodie & Traci for coming out and donating. After the shoot I drove away thinking how lucky I am to get to capture all these families. I am over the moon w/ the turn out and look forward to seeing many more of you.
My husband is taking me out to dinner for my birthday so I need to keep this brief and I will share more pictures when I have time to work again.
But I want to share one picture before I head out. This guys mom said he wasn't really walking yet but he was so proud to show me that he was an awesome walker. Check him out...

It is had to not be super happy this week with this incredible weather! And every time I look at these images they make me equally as happy. Another great GEDIM day in the books. The turnout has been amazing and I am excited to share more pictures. I need to get dinner cooking again so this is short and sweet. Tomorrow I will be back at the Arboretum but this time park at near the Broadmore entrance and I will be near the bridge area just east of there. I am changing the time from what I posted earlier...sorry, this is why I don't plan too far ahead...I will be there starting at 3:15pm. I'm sure it will be another gorgeous day so come on out and join me!

There are still a few El Paso families patiently waiting to get a peek of their images. So before I run out the door to GEDIM I want to share a few with a family who flew in from Dallas to see me. They moved to Dallas last year and now are about to move to Chicago. I have photographed their twins since they were infants so I hope that we can somehow continue to document the changes in their life!

Plan ahead for GEDIM

I am trying to plan the next few days w/ my family & childcare & thought you may want to do a little planning too so I am going to give you a few days notice on times of shoots (but next week I am sticking w/ the one day before the shoot format as I can't think that far ahead).

GEDIM May 12th

Wednesday's shoot will be near the parking area for the Seattle Public Theater at Greenlake. The shoot will start at 3:30. Mighty O Donuts will be joining in on the fun tomorrow so come to the lake for a sitting and a tasty treat!

GEDIM Information

I have found that it is not completely clear what to expect if you join me at a Giving Every Day in May locale so I will try my best to explain. I am continuing with the first come first serve basis but it is helpful if you email or send me a Facebook message so I can better anticipate who to expect that day & I can give you an idea if there will be others ahead of you. But it is not necessary to contact me as you may not know how your day will go and arriving if the planets all align for you that day will work just fine too. This process may change as I go forward but it is working thus far & everyone has been happy w/ the results.
Sometimes is may be a little tougher to locate me as I do move around an area once the hour starts. If that happens or if you are running late and you want to see if it is worth trying to get to the location you can call me on my cell phone: 206.335.8098. Do not hesitate to call.
What you need to bring: A check written to Soulumination for a minumum of $25 & include on the check or separate paper your name and contact info.
What you receive for your donation: My photography time (I can pack a ton into 15 minutes) & a 5x7" print of your favorite(additional prints are available for purchase).
Who can participate: ANYONE who will donate. The shoots are not limited to children. Couples, seniors, pets, best friends, singles are all welcome and I promise it will be fun! One shoot limit per family.
I will be hosting a party on June 10th to celebrate all the donations to Souluminations and all of the amazing people who I am meeting along this great journey!
