I am back from my quick trip to Texas to photograph some great families (and enjoy a little sunshine & heat...this NW weather is really getting ridiculous this year!!) & have have some anxious parents waiting to finally see their little one's class picture. This are the last preschool picture I will be posting this year, I have another school I photographed recently but I am sure viewing these pictures is getting a little repetitious for you non-preschool parent readers.
Spring break for my oldest is this week so I am heading out of town again (this time against my will as I have so much work on my plate I would actually prefer to spend the week at my desk), hopefully when we return spring will finally have arrived in Seattle!
And now let me share the last of the bright, smiling faces of these adorable kids.

Still more classes remain...you would think I may get tired of photographing them (you are probably tired of seeing them all), but I really don't. I couldn't do lots of schools but I still really love the challenge trying to figure out the hook that will open up the brilliant personalities in each and every little one. People would be surprised to find out that I am not one that LOVES to hang out with other peoples' kids. I LOVE my boys but really do not know how teachers do what they do all day long. Such an incredibly hard job, that I am thankful that they have the gifts to take on the challenge. But I will say there is something very strange that happens when I have a camera in my hand or in front of my face. I find that I really do love every child in front of me and I love finding out little tidbits that make them tick. The camera is like a little telescope for me and I am thankful that it allows me to open up and see that all kids are really amazing.
With twins that are in these classes I try and photograph them together. And I am seriously flabergasted at how many twins there are these days. So much fun! I wanted to share a couple pictures from one set of twins. They were A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E together!!

I am still working away at preschool pictures(I took on a second school of even younger kids with even more kids so it has been busy), but I wanted to share a few senior pictures I did a few weeks back of my nephew who was visiting from Hawaii. I can't believe he will be graduating next month. It was fun spending the time with him and I am amazed at what a great guy he is. I look forward to watching where life takes him in the years to come.

Not surprisingly the weather deteriorated as the week of class pictures wore and I found myself working double time to win the little ones over before a downpour set in. What is going on with this spring weather. At least on this morning we didn't get the hail that seems to be a daily occurrence lately. These kids were troopers soldiering through the cold morning. Are you getting tired of seeing the red chair yet? I always love seeing how the kids will sit down. I don't give them any instructions & tell them they can move it any which way and sit however they choose. I am always amazed at the smiles that emerge when they are given the freedom to do whatever they want.

Still inundated with class pictures with many more to be posted but before I share the next class this next little girl needs to be in the spotlight. As I was finishing up the last of her classes images I realized somehow I missed adding her adorable picture in the last post. I think it was meant to be because she deserves a little solo spotlight for how cute she is!!

As I continued the week of school pictures the ages got younger and younger and I always wonder if I will hit a bump in the road connecting w/ a certain age. These beautiful kids are four and five and they all look like little professionals...no bumps here. The first image is not what a parent would think is the perfect school picture but it is a favorite of mine and I couldn't not share it.
