If you have been a long time reader of my blog you will recognize this next family. I met their big sister over a year ago and instantly fell in love. When her brother and sister were born they joined my Baby's First Year plan which made me so happy because it guaranteed that I would get to see little Lilly more often. She lit up when I asked her about her ring and I have been on a hunt since then to find a perfect new one for her. And to Lily's mom's surprise her twins also lit with big smiles throughout my time with them. These three really made my day!

Here is another family that I have enjoyed photographing since returning to Seattle. They just moved so it was fun to see their new home and take pictures in their beautiful garden. These kids are so easy to photograph, the hard part is stopping!

I have been lucky enough to photograph this next family for three years running. I always know I am in for a good time with their kids. Some of my all time favorite images have come from shoots of theirs. The first image is from last year and I enjoy it every day as a 60" gallery wrap of it hangs beautifully over my desk. This year was no disappointment as the kids ran all over the UW campus.

I am a big believer that things will always work out. Even if it seems like the deck is stacked against you if you keep plugging away it will all work out. And that is just how it was for my next family. The initial plan was to meet on an eastside beach but then changed to Seward Park. When I arrived I found the wind was whipping and was regretting my suggestion. Then the family called and was stuck in traffic behind an accident and was going to be late. I changed the location to get a little closer to them. After all the craziness of changes and late start I couldn't have been happier when I pulled into the parking area of Kubota Gardens. I think it is one of the most incredible hidden secrets in Seattle. It was so fun exploring the grounds with this family of four. The first spot we came to had big turtles that we all could have looked at for hours.
Amy & Perry, it was such a pleasure meeting and spending time with your family. Thank you for your flexibility. Working with you all really made my day!

These next girls started off a little shy but it didn't take long for the smiles to come out. Although it was a little cloudy and grey there were endless hugs to warm up the day. The last two images make me laugh...it was very clear that little Brooke was done w/ the shoot and was ready to head for something more far away from the big black camera.

I was touched and excited when my next client contacted me about getting sitting on the calendar. I have photographed them over the past few years before they moved out of state to get closer to home. It meant a lot to me that they wanted to continue to use me to capture their kids as they grow and change. They came to town and we were lucky to get a great morning of sun. Their youngest was just 6 months old the last time I worked w/ them and so in the past shoots their oldest always stole the show. I think Jack decided to make up for all the pictures his sister had gotten and stole the show. He was hilarious, mischivious and on the go as you will see in these pictures. The first image was taken at the very beginning of the shoot and he just kept going...
