I photographed this little guy on Valentine's Day when he was less than two weeks old. Nine months old now he is on the verge of crawling and talking. Crazy how much change can happen in the span of a baby's first year!
It was a chilly morning and he arrived all bundled up...he could not have been cuter with his little hat! He was a major champ surviving the cold and giving us lots of little smiles and giggles.
The last time I photographed these kids the youngest was still tightly swaddled and the furthest we wandered was their front lawn. We had fun venturing quite a bit further this time, exploring secret spots in my neighborhood. So fun to see the changes that can happen in just a few short years. Happy that I get the opportunity to document a few moments in their lives!!

The fall leaves were in their prime when we got lucky enough with a dry morning. Raindrops started falling just as we were finishing up, I felt so lucky for a great morning with this family. This couple have beautiful little girls that seem to be perfect reflections of their parents, easygoing and up for anything. We walked the block around their home and found great backdrops with every turn.

The dry days weather window is closing here in Seattle and all the beautiful leaves are quickly coming off the trees...a sad time for sure. I was shocked to wake up to ice on the car window this weekend. I am not ready for winter! Fortunately, there were enough dry days to fit a few more sittings in. And I am really excited to share this next family's pictures with them.
Almost 7 years ago I photographed their wedding in Hawaii...it was such a great day and fun night. Being long time friends of mine (thanks to my husband who met them in college), it was so fun to document their wedding that came after 12+ years of dating. And now, 7 yrs later, getting to photograph them with their daughter was just as great. Since she was born, their little girl has been a show stopper. From the get go she was mellow and happy all the time...just like her parents. You just cannot help but smile when she smiles. I am grateful that they asked me to photograph their family and hopefully they will cherish these pictures even more than their wedding pictures!! If we could all take a few lessons from this couple the world would be a better place...happier, mellower and grateful for the gifts our lives!
