Lately, I am consistently asked if I am still photographing kids and families. The answer is YES!! I have not been making time to compose and post images from sittings for some time now.
Today, I have time to share images from my lastest sitting. It was a beautiful day in the Arboretum. The kids slowly warmed up to me as they fed ducks and then we were off for an hour of running and playing. My most favorite pictures are always the "in between" shots, capturing the kids being kids...rolling around in uncontrollable laughter, a self hug, sibling hugs, skipping and running. There is definitely value in the sit & look at the camera images. As parents, we all want those. But kids' true personalities shine in the fleeting moments in between and those are most missed when they grow into teenagers and sit perfectly still (maybe with an eye roll towards mom and dad every so often) for the camera. To "in betweens" pictures...I hope these make their mom and dad smile!!
