A few weekends ago I made another trip down to El Paso. I know many are anxiously awaiting a glimpse of their pictures. This trip was full of ups and downs which has me tentatively planning a May return trip (for all you El Paso readers, yes I may be back so contact me if you want info on the specifics on my open sittings) and left me thinking of the importance of family, health and happiness. One of my clients has been in the fight for her life since the holidays and had to return to the hospital the morning of our schedule sitting. Her family is beautiful and I have my hopes up that I can see them in May. The next day brought 50mph winds, yes 50...not ideal conditions for my style of photography but all my clients hung in there with me and I am looking forward to sharing with them the payoff for their patience and flexibility.
My first little girl was is definitely one of the most independent 2 yr olds I have met. She was on the go and in control the entire time. I'm sure her parents left thinking there were very few keepers. But I told them I LOVE independent girls and I have more than a few favorites of her.

The last class...and of course full of more beautiful kids!!

Another day, another class. If you are noticing a trend I am going w/ a non-"class pic" image to kick off each post and I love this first one for a few reasons. I love it because it just makes me smile but also because I have photographed this little girl the last two years and she has always been a little on the shy side. So that she gave me some huge laughs this time made my day!

I have finally managed to work though all the preschool class pictures so be prepared for a barrage of beautiful little ones in this post and a few more to come.
I let the parents know that my goal is to just have fun with their kids, I love this first image because it shows that fun was definitely had.

My trip to El Paso was a whirlwind. In more ways than one...on Saturday the wind was BLOWING. Nothing like trying to shoot in 50 mph winds. My clients were troopers. I missed a few of my clients due to family illnesses. You are in my thoughts and because of you I am considering a return trip in April...I will keep you posted.

Now to school pictures. If you have followed my blog for a few years you already know that doing Secret Garden class pictures is always a highlight for me to see if I can live up to my own challenge of getting a giggle or smile out of every child. It was another successful year and I am excited to share the images w/ all their parents. I am starting w/ the Pre-K class because they are the only class that amazingly did not have a student absent and I was able to get them all. I am sad that this is their last year at SG. Many of them I have gotten to photograph for a few years and I will miss seeing them next year!
