The last 4 days was a whirlwind and I am so relieved I made it through with all my marbles! El Paso was great, although bright and windy (two things that are not a photographer's best friend). I am looking forward to spending the next few weeks working through all of the images.
Before I left I got to photograph my friends' newest arrival. They now have 4 girls under the age of 4 (and I think I'm busy...) so there was constant motion. It was obvious the girls are excited about their new little sister Hudson.

Texas here I come...(and a note about my phone #)

I am sitting in the airport waiting for a 2 hr delayed flight. This may sound awful but it actually is kind of nice to be sitting at my computer w/ time on my hands. It is a rarity these days and getting to this spot has been a whirlwind of activity and planning. Once again my parents are making it all happen for me. While I spend 2 1/2 days shooting 18 families in El Paso they will be hanging out w/ Cooper and Oscar...I am curious to see who will be more exhausted at the end of this all.
I found out inadvertantly today that when I return my phone service to Qwest last Monday my business line did not get connected correctly. When I called to pick up phone messages a stranger answered. He ended up being a business owner that is a block away from me. He said the phone had been ringing alot in the last week and he could not figure out why...so if you had tried calling me in the last 10 days and did not get a voice message I apologize. It will hopefully resolved tomorrow. In the meantime you can reach me on my cell 206.335.8098 if you have any questions.
Have a great weekend and check back next week because I will have loads of new pictures to share.

One more class...

I finished the school day shoot w/ the Pre-K class. The cute kiddos just kept coming.
My very favorite of the entire day this first little girl. Her mom said she had insisted on wearing her favorite dress and ended up picking out her entire ensemble. I loved it and I REALLY loved that her parents went along w/ it because it will document something that is truly special to her in her 5th year. Just look how proud she was.

Another blue-eyed beauty!

I have photographed Scarlett every 3 months since she was a newborn. It really is amazing to see how much change happens in such a short time. She is 9 months now and I just don't think it is possible for her to get any cuter! She is on the move and we had so much fun all over the house! I can't wait to photograph her 1st birthday party in June!

Hopefully not your standard school picture...

Cooper's little school (Secret Garden on Capital Hill) asked me to take class pictures of a few of their classes. I photographed 35+ children in 2 hours...I was exhausted. My goal was to make sure I captured every little one as naturally as possible the back alley of the school. It was a fun challenge (the kids were adorable) & hopefully all the parents will see the personality of their child when they look at their images not just a snap shot of what they looked like when they were little. To make sure there was a little cohesiveness between the pictures I had each child sit however they wanted in a green chair for a few pictures before moving to another spot. There was also the bright green bouncy toy that made a brief appearance...who can resist that!
Because I do not want to leave any of the kids out here are a few more pics than usual.
This is the four year old class (the class of 2021!!).
