WARNING....PHOTO OVERLOAD BELOW!!

Once again I am at the end of my El Paso shoots and finishing off w/ my most devoted client. A comment was left on my last post with Grace that "the most amazing photo "diary" of her childhood". I hadn't thought of her shoots in that way but it really is what her mom is creating for her and I am really honored that she is allowing me to assist her in the great gift she is giving to her daughter.
I know her mom is very anxious to see the last shoot. I didn't know what she had planned and it was also a surprise for Grace as well. As soon as we walked into the room we both got excited about what her mom had left out for her. A few babbles, heels, purses and make up to play with...Grace was on Cloud 9. I love how the shoot ended w/ the heels coming off and getting busy w/ the jump rope.
So I just couldn't narrow down to a handful so Chris this is for you...

One of my very oldest friends (scary to admit that I have known her for more than 30 yrs) is one of the most thoughtful people. She was really excited to give her friend a gift certificate for a sitting with me. And I was excited to meet the little boy that I have heard so many great things about. The shoot started off a little slow as he was shy and not quite sure who I was. But as soon as he discovered I would run, play hide and seek and laugh with him he was off and running, literally. I had so much fun with him. I could have spent the whole morning with him if it wasn't for having to get home to play with a few boys of my own. I was hoping to get the money shot of him w/ his dad but he was seriously one quick little guy that was on the move. But a kiss for dad is always great and I love the quiet moments on the dock.

Mini Sessions 2009

With Mother's Day just around the corner I decided I would do something I have never done before and hopefully assist in giving a gift that will be cherished forever.

MINI SESSIONS
WHAT: 20 minute sittings
WHO: Up to 3 children together. If you are not surprising mom bring her along and she can jump into a few!
WHEN: April 15th, time slots 4pm, 4:30, 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, 6:30 (weather permitting, reschedule will be for April 22nd)
WHERE: North Capital Hill
COST: $165 sitting fee due at the time of booking.
GOODS: My brand new offering...a beautiful 9x9" display folio with your two favorite images in 5x7" mattes wrapped and ready to give to your loved one. You will receive 10% off additional orders.

The week following the sessions you will receive an online gallery with 15+ of the best images from the session. You will have 7 days to pick your favorites for the folio.

This next little guy braved a cold day to get a few outdoor pictures, he was such a trooper. Once we went inside he was on the go. He is definitely one happy baby who LOVES to play ball! His grandma had requested no naked shots this time but I just could resist. I love bare bums and this picture of him is one of my favorites this year.

The first time I photographed this next family was during my first return visit to El Paso. Oscar came along on that trip since he was just 8 wks old and when I met this family their 2nd child had just arrived and was 6 wks old. It was hard to believe it had been over 3 years. And this time I got to meet another new addition to their family. The wind was really whipping by the afternoon but somehow we managed to pull the sitting off. It helps when you have kids that are full of energy and ready to play. Fortunately for mom and dad that hadn't yet rubbed off on the baby, he slept through the entire shoot. He opened his eyes for about 30 seconds and we were lucky to still be shoot.

Spring break is just as much fun as an adult as it was as a kid! We had an amazing few days in the mtns. If the snow and skiing weren't enough we discovered that someone had built an igloo that could hold all of us right outside our door. It was so cool!
But now it's back to Texas. I have a few more families that are waiting to see some pics. So I'm not going to waste anymore time...
