I was really excited to learn that the sitting I had donated for my son's school auction was bought by a family I met through his soccer team last year. Their sons have big, bright smiles and it was so much fun hanging out with them.

We are having the most amazing weather for the start of fall. The warm sun is out and I am on my way to the San Juans for a wedding (as a guest which is so much more fun than as the photographer!!). I hope everyone has great plans on tap for the weekend to take full advantage of the heat.
This family was all about kids on the go. Their youngest was so into crawling and not corraling. He is definitely Mister Independent and I think he may be following in the footsteps of his sister. I really love the crawling pictures of him, so full of energy and excitement about making his way on his own. These two were busy and I had fun capturing them loving their independence!

I was so surprised to get an email a few weeks ago from my long time-client that they were expecting the arrival of their baby. I feel like I just photographed the arrival of their little boy and now he is a big brother! Where does time go??!!! She arrived and in great 3rd child fashion she has been a breeze. She made it clear that she loves her daddy's swaddling job. I wish I could stay snuggly wrapped up and held all day!!

After making it through the scariest flight of my life (seriously!!) my trip to El Paso just kept getting better and better. As always it was fun to see all the families and the weather was perfect. Getting back to work in my office I am now overwhelmed w/ work so I need to get right to it.
This next mom scored big points with me as soon as she arrived when she told me she decided she would let her boys chose what they wanted to wear. She was a little weary of their tie-dye choice but I think all the color was fun and I am always telling people to go w/ what their kids are comfortable, if they aren't happy their true personality won't shine. I love this first image with mom...I hope she does too, she deserves it!

I am so honored that this beautiful girl and her mom chose me as the person they wanted to capture her senior pictures. And I couldn't wait to meet them. I so enjoyed my time with Allegra, her mom and her stylist sister. It is obvious what strong women they all are and how much love they have for each other. Allegra discovered a passion for poetry a few years ago and I hope to read her works one day.
I am so excited to share these with her. Definitely a highlight of my year, spending a beautiful afternoon in the park with a beautiful family.

I am struggling w/ the reality that it is already the middle of September and the holidays are just around the corner...where does the time go? I am booking up through the end of the year so contact me soon if you are hoping to get a sitting in before the holidays.

This next set of boys were giggly and on the go. We had fun exploring the neighborhood as you will see. I did a little collage of James and his dad. Chasing and racing never gets old for boys and it was so fun to watch them play together. I couldn't leave his brother out so I did a collage especially for him too.

I must start this post off with a BIG thank you to everyone who came to the reception at the Victrola Tuesday night. It was a great turn out and I appreciated everyones' incredible compliments. The work will be up all month so if you are in Capitol Hill stop by and peek in.
Look how cute this next family is...almost makes me want to have a third. I love the three of them together and I have to share the 2nd image that led into capturing the 3rd image. Belly laughs are the best!!

I had a late night of hanging work and couldn't have done it without my great friends. I am excited with how it looks and can't wait to hear everyones' feedback.
I finally have time to get back to all the work on my desk. I was trying my best to narrow down this next family's images but as you will see I wasn't very successful. I met them at there home and loved shooting in their backyard and neighborhood. These kids had smiles that you can see from miles away and they shared so many with me. This family was so relaxed and couldn't have made my job any easier. I just love this first series of images.
