I photographed this family when they were a family of three and their daughter was so easy to photograph. She was as easy this time and must have been prepping her little brother because he was just as good. BEAUTIFUL family!!

I know there are many parents out their anxiously awaiting their little sneak peak from their recent sitting. I am working as hard as I can (7 days/wk and late into the night) so I hope you can hang in there and know that as soon as I finish your images you will be hearing from me.
This is another new El Paso family for me. I love their siblings who I have photographed in the past so I knew driving to their home that I would for sure be in for another great family. Their little two year old is one strong, independent little lady! And I LOVE that! It makes it a little tough on mom and dad but I didn't mind following her wherever she wanted to take me. She is adorable and her outfit is incredible too!

These two have made a few appearances here. Always so cute. And I loved the colorful petticoats...so much fun. And the girls loved wearing them which always makes for great pictures.

I kicked my Texas trip off with my all-time biggest fan. She schedules multiple sittings during my time there and is always great at having an idea for each. The first was focused on capturing some images w/ Grace's grandma and nanny. And a few of their favorite dog was a must since he is getting up there in years. Grace was so easy to work with and I think we managed to get a ton of pictures that her parents will love. Here is a sampling (the dog was first on the agenda so I will start with him)...

I am now in the heart of the year that finds me constantly wondering how I am going to make it through the holidays and meet all my clients expectations. It is always an unsettling time but this year I am trying to remind myself that I always manage to make it to Christmas and everyone is happy. This is a little forewarning that most of my postings through the end of the year will be short and sweet. So hopefully nobody will take my briefness personally...I truly LOVE all my clients I just need to keep things short to enable myself to do the work that is most important.

So that leads me to the Shank boys. After rainy days the sun came out and we had fun running all over the place enjoying a crisp fall day.

I am always excited when a family is up for venturing away from the park setting and trusting me in an unfamiliar (a little more dirty) place. The colors and textures always stand out but more than that kids seem to LOVE it. This little guy was no exception.

I have been deliquent in my posts but it wasn't due to slacking off from work it has been just the opposite. I was overwhelmed w/ work last week and then jumped on a plane for a return visit to El Paso. Friday, as I pulled up to my first sitting of 12 in 2 days I managed to get a flat as a pancake tire. So as I worked through the first shoot I also wrangled w/ the rental company to bring me a car to get to my next shoot. My head was spinning as I was on the highway running just a few minutes late when I got a call from the car company telling me that I forgot to give them keys to the car w/ a flat...I could have died!! I HATE being late so this wasn't good. Somehow I managed to make it to the next sitting just 15 minutes late and the remainder of the shoots went off w/o a hitch.
Now I'm back to the grey days of Seattle and working through the shoots I had before leaving town.
I know this next family is very anxious to see a sneak peak from their sitting as they were unsure if I managed to get many pictures of their little guy who was fighting a cold. No worries here...he is a blue-eyed stunner!! I couldn't resist putting together a series of him running to his mom. So cute!

FULLY BOOKED FOR 2008

I am officially booked for this year. If you didn't schedule a sitting in time make sure you plan ahead for next year!!
I will have limited sittings available in January and February. You may think this would be a horrible time for family pictures but there are always great options that will surprise you!!
My previous post mentioned running around...it is funny that this post followed because this little girl was on the go non-stop. I had so much fun chasing her around. Her parents may have been exhausted but it made my job so easy because she was having tons of fun. At the very end of the hour plus shoot she surprised us all and plopped herself down and gave some of the biggest smiles. Our reward for sticking with her. I had a hard time narrowing things down so here are a few collages that captured some of the fun I had with her.

The forecast was for rain but somehow we found the one hour pocket of dry weather and managed to get these little girls outside w/ their whole family. There was lots of running around and a few big laughs too.
