I am heading out in just a few hours for my bi-annual Texas visit. I am in the middle of working through images from an incredible wedding of an old friend of mine. I have a ways to go but wanted to give her a tiny sneak peak.

Stunning Senior

Micheala's mom told me that Micheala had looked at a lot of photographers to do her senior pictures and dedcidied that I was the only one for her! Such a great compliment and I hope her expectations are exceeded once she sees her images. Micheala is stunning and it was almost impossible to take a bad shot of her! And the best part of all was the great time I had with her. She is so level headed. She is going to do great things in the future.

Micheala I hope you love your sneak peak!!!

As soon as I learned the name of my next little subject I knew I was going to like this family. Miles...such a great name!!! And his parents lived up to my heightened expectations. At just 4 weeks old Miles has determined that photo shoots may not be his favorite thing. He managed to pee and poop on his parents to pay them back. We all got a good laugh and I think we got some good images too.

Only a handful of sittings remain open to meet holiday gift prints/card cutoffs. I am completely booked for September and October so if you are hoping to get a sitting in before the holidays you will want to contact me asap.

I first photographed the Janssen family last fall and quickly fell in love with their three little ones. Their dimples and blue eyes stop you in your tracks. I couldn't wait to get another chance at capturing them on film. We had a great time together. I have to comment on the first two images...they just make me laugh. He was so tickled with himself for outsmarting his two sisters who jumped off ahead of him. Then he went for some big air on his own.

I am amazed that it has been two years since I photographed the birth of this next little guy! He and his sister are scattered throughout my blog and website as they are just toooooo adorable (you can see an image of them a year ago up at the top left image on my blog banner). I have truly enjoyed documenting them these past two years and just last night I received such a thoughtful email from their mom (who has been waiting patiently for a sneak peak from our recent shoot) that really hits home as to why I do what I do. Thank you Gloria for thinking of me and then taking the time to share your thoughts with me.
These two have the most incredible, to die for dimples that never cease to amaze me each time I see them. Smiles were abundant as we rolled in the grass and played in the water. I cannot wait to meet their baby brother who is joining their crew this winter...how lucky he is to be joining such a special family!

I never have quite gotten the whole U-Tube phenomenon...who has time to watch videos on the computer...I wish I did!!
But I saw this tonight and it moved me so I wanted to share it...
I had really been looking forward to photographing this next family for a number of reasons. I have known this couple for over 10 years now and although we don't see each other often I always enjoy talking with them and seeing their beautiful girls. I photographed them when they were a family of four and was so excited to have an opportunity to capture them as their family has grown. Kerri also loves photography so I hoped to get a few pictures of her w/ her girls which never happens when you are the one always taking the pictures. Our plan was to meet at a beach setting but after much discussion Kerri followed her instinct of wanting something different and went in a different direction which I was so pscyhed about. I had a lot of fun running around with the girls and it was hard for me to put my camera away...the girls smiles, eyes and giggles were infectious!
Kerri is a frequent blog reader, referring to herself as a blog stalker (Kerri, I LOVE blog stalkers and am learning as of late that there are many of you out there which makes the work involved in keeping this updated all worth it for me!) so I hope she enjoys seeing her family on my blog.
I am so excited (and envious) for them as they are about to move to Germany for a few years. I hope some of these images will fill their new home with lots of color and love.
