Exploring

I had so much fun with the Lorenz family. First thier little boy, Nobi, was such a happy, easy going little guy. And his parents were the best because they were open to exploring a little with me. After taking pics in the park we walked down to the Madrona "business district" & tried a few different things. I had been eyeing a blue building in the neighborhood since I got back from my trip El Paso trip & had wanted to try and replicate the blue gate backdrop. It worked, but I ended up finding a red door that I liked even better.
Nobi, like all toddlers, loved the planes. They kept him entertained throughout the shoot.

I have decided one of my favorite things are little kids' eyelashes!

Lyn & Colin

Lyn & Colin finally got to see their pictures last night so now that the cat is out of the bag I will share a few more.
This was my very first shot of the day & it may be my favorite. Lyn was so relaxed & excited to be getting married when I walked into her room. Seeing her beauty through my lense got me so excited to be the one getting to capture their day.

The father/daughter dance always seems to get me. I'm always glad I have the camera in front of my face to hide my eyes as they well up. Lyn's dad was so fun to watch. His smile lit up his face throughout the day.

My favorite pictures...

It has been a busy weekend & I haven't had time to get on top of editing my work so I thought I would share my favorite pictures of 2006. One evening I was in my office working, my husband was on bedtime "duty". I went down to get a drink & this is how I found them.

It was hilarious!!

The winner is...

Stacey Lara-Kerr!! I am excited to photograph her little girl Greta. She has tons of personality and a VERY high SASS factor. Here are a few of her from the last time we got together.

Cuties!

All kids love to play peek a boo and I've never met one that isn't cute doing it! This is my niece, Elizabeth taken at the zoo.

Brothers, Stanley and Harrison loved the park. And have you ever seen a boy that isn't adorable playing w/ trucks.

And finally this is my guy Cooper sneaking a little peak at the zoo.

Whoops!

I am still trying to master the blog software & today I realized is you make a change to a post & save it as a draft the old post disappears...a little frustrating.
Here is the post that disappeared. Hopefully you liked it enough to enjoy it again....if you want to see even more of their sitting you can check out their slideshow (not playable on Macs)
The Nilands are a wonderful family. Here are Judge, Jack & Meredith w/ their grandparents:

I LOVED this blue gate and wish it could travel w/ me!

More from the Market

Coming soon (this week) to my blog...FREE Urban sitting.

Dylan & Austin

Photographing these brothers was fun. They were so cooperative & seemed to be great friends. It made me think about what my boys will be like at their age.

Kiera in the Market

Kiera was a perfect subject. Her red hair & pig tails turned many a head!

It's a PARTE

My little boy, Cooper, was so looking forward to going to his friend Elspeth "parte" all weekend. Here are a few pictures from Elspeth's 4th bday.

The face painter FAR exceeded any I have ever seen. Aliza was fast and FANCY! She's been at it for 20 yrs & has done Cirque de Soliel. If you need a hook up for Halloween or a kid party you can reach Aliza at alizafaceart@yahoo.com

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELSPETH!

Urban Kids

Throughout the coming week I am going to share w/ you images that I took on a recent outing around Pike's Market. I had a friend dress her girls in sassy clothes & with Cooper & Oscar in tow, we had a blast w/ all the great colors & textures. If you are interested in what an "Urban Kids" session looks like come back. Here is a sneak peak of the sassy little ladies...

I will be offering a free "Urban Kids" session sometime this week so check back if you want to be the lucky winner.

I am waiting for the day that I am not excited to see the pictures I just took. When I shot film I was a dangerous driver because I could never wait to look at the rolls of prints until I got home (probably not smart on the highways of Phoenix). And now w/ digital I head straight to the computer as soon as I get home to look at all the images. It is so much fun!!!
The next images are of Brandon Gulbas who is about to turn 1. He is another one that I have had the pleasure of photographing since he was 2 wks old. It is hard to believe that it has already been a year. Here are some from his first photo shoot:

This one w/ his great grandmother (in her 90s) is one of my all time favorites.

And this one is my husband's all time favorite.

When Shannon & Brent saw Brandon's recent images they called me from Deer Valley where they were vacationing. That they couldn't wait until they got home was a great compliment & then they went on to say how they couldn't believe there were so many good images Brandon was not in the best of moods for the majority of the sitting. But he had his moments & once he realized he could crawl on the grass he was hilarious.

I am looking forward to watching Brandon grow!!
